God: Debbie's going into her self-doubt, procrastination, and scare herself silly mode. We need immediate intervention. The usual subtle approach will not work this time. Send the Special Communications Team down to Earth for this one.

Me: I'm sitting at my computer, typing away. My business phone rings. I answer in my usual fashion, "Hi,
this is Debbie Call."
The gentleman at the other end asked me if I had just called him. I replied that I had not. He then explained that he must have confused my number with another company he was expecting to hear back from. He added that since he's gotten older (75), he transposes numbers more easily.
He sounded like an affable gent, and I told him I wasn't that far behind him (54). He commented that I was still at a good age in terms of health. He urged me to take advantage of that and "Get Out and Do It Now!"
I smiled. I told him that was an interesting thing for him to tell me. Why? For the last hour before his phone call, I felt myself getting more gun-shy about a passive stream of income I wanted to develop. (I had been bemoaning to myself how hard it is to be a beginner again). Hearing someone tell me to "get out and do it" was just the kick in the pants I needed to hear.
He asked me what I wanted to get into. When I told him, he responded that he had 35 years experience in that area. (insert Twilight Zone music here).
We ended up chatting for another half hour. He shared tips. I found out he's calling from New Mexico. I'm in South Carolina. I have no idea how that happened. Don't care. Don't need to know.
Weird, perhaps. But I got the message. Get Out and Do It Now. Roger.
Over and out.
